Official Rules and Regulations

RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AND ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN FULL EFFECT AS SOON AS POSTED.

Section 1

Players/Ranks

[A] Moderators/Admins

  • Moderators may include; MR, HR, SHR, Exceptional/Honorary Members.
  • In Tide Cafe, in-game moderators and administrators have the power to give moderation actions to players on the game as they see fit.
  • Moderators who abuse (see Section 2 [B] Abuse) their administrative powers WILL be demoted and/or blacklisted from Tide Cafe.

[B] Staff

  • Staff members are members of the community that have taken then time to complete an interview/application (See Section 3 [B] Application Center) and have passed training.
  • Staff members can be promoted to a higher rank then they are currently if they show certain qualities such as; Activity, Management skills, Communication skills, Dedication.
  • Higher ranking members may have Moderator or Administrator Command privileges depending on their rank.
  • A higher rank may tell a lower rank an order; I.E, A rank 8 may tell a rank 6 to kick a disturbance (see Section 4 Disturbances) if something glitched with their Administrative commands. If you feel as if a higher rank is telling an order that may seem unfair/unjust please tell another higher rank the issue.
  • i - LR; LR Stands for Low-Rank. Ranks 3-5
  • ii - MR; MR Stands for Medium-Rank. Ranks 6-7
  • iii - HR; HR Stands for High-Rank. Ranks 8-13
  • iv - SHR; SHR Stands for Super High-Rank. Ranks 14+

[C] Exceptional/Honarary Members

  • These are players that SHR+ members have set. These could include friends or contributors to the Tide Cafe community.
  • These members could be ANY rank in Tide Cafe. They will have the Honorary Member role in the Tide Cafe Discord.

[D] Ranks

MR+ RANKS ARE EARNED, DO NOT ASK TO BE PROMOTED TO SUCH RANKS.

  • LR - LR Stands for Low-Rank. Ranks 3-5. The main purpose of a Low-Ranking member is to serve guests at the cafe.
  • MR - MR Stands for Medium-Rank. Ranks 6-7. LR Members can be promoted to this rank if they show promising dedication and hard work. The main purpose of a MR staff member is to supervise and insure the safety/wellfare of all guests at the cafe. MR staff members have moderator commands such as “kick” and “pm”. If abuse does occur, they will be demoted and/or blacklisted from Tide Cafe entirely. (see Section 2 [B] Abuse)
  • HR - HR Stands for High-Rank. Ranks 8-13. MR Members can be promoted to this rank if they show amazing activity, management, and an overall wonderful experience working at the cafe. The main purpose of an HR staff member is to supervise all members of the cafe. If there is a problem you should most definitely seek guidance to one of these members since they have such experience dealing with issues in the past.
  • SHR - SHR Stands for Super High-Rank. Ranks 14+. THIS RANK MUST BE GRANTED FROM AN OWNER NOT ANOTHER SHR MEMBER. SHR Members are the highest rank obtainable. These include Board Members, Vice-Chairman (or Vice-Chairmen), and the Chairman (Me :slight_smile: ). If a SHR members tells you to do something, heh, you better do it. B)

[E] Alternative Accounts/Throwaway Accounts

We normally don’t care about alternative accounts unless used for the following;

  • Raiding (Friend Blacklist)
  • Circumventing a ban (Blacklist on the main and a Friend Blacklist on the alternative account)
  • Staff can have multiple accounts for different jobs, as long as they are not creating a disturbance (see Section 4 Disturbances)

Section 2

Rank Privileges

[A] Orders

  • Staff members should ALWAYS listen to a higher rank’s requests/advice. They’ve worked hard to get the rank they currently have and should be respected.

[B] Abuse

  • If ANY rank below the rank of SHR abuses Moderator or Administrative Commands/Powers they WILL be demoted and/or BLACKLISTED from Tide Cafe.
  • If you feel as if there is a higher rank abusing their powers, please contact another higher rank and tell them your issue.

[C] Commands/Powers

  • Tide Cafe uses a mix of In-Game moderation systems including; Adonis Admin, Kohls Admin, etc.
  • Any member below SHR abusing these systems WILL be demoted and/or BLACKLISTED from Tide Cafe. (Yes, as said before like 2000 times lol)

[D] Hosting

  • If a staff member is of the HR rank or higher, they have the power to host shifts/interviews/trainings.
  • MR staff members can help in interviews, and LR staff members can help in trainings.
  • In order to host/help you MUST use the interview or training guide located in the Tide Cafe Discord.

[E] Ranking

  • MR+ have the power to promote/demote lower members based on;
  • Passed Applications
  • Passed Interviews
  • Passed Trainings
  • The member that is to be promoted shows promising dedication and hard work. (See section 1 [D] Ranks)
  • FREE RANKING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Any staff members below the rank of SHR caught free ranking WILL be demoted and/or BLACKLISTED from Tide Cafe.
  • i - Free ranking is the act in which a staff member promotes a lower staff member for no reason.

Section 3

Group Places

ALL RULES APPLY TO THESE GAMES.

[A] Tide Cafe

  • This is the main game for the group. All ranks are welcome here. Staff members will fulfill their main part of their career at Tide Cafe in this game.

[B] Application Center

  • The application center is where Customers can apply to work at the cafe.
  • The application center sends a customer’s application to discord via HTTP service.
  • If a customer has passed their rank should be changed to rank T | Trainee and their application will be marked with a :white_check_mark: . They will then have to complete a training session in order to be ranked an LR rank.
  • If a customer has failed their application will be marked with an :x:.
  • Rules are said in the application center before taking an application. If the applicant does NOT abide by the rules they will be blacklisted from Tide Cafe.

[C] Interview Center

  • The interview center is where Customers can take an interview hosted by an HR+ (see Section 2 [D] Hosting)
  • If a Customer passes their interview they will be ranked to T | Trainee and will have to complete a training in the Training Center in order to be ranked higher.

[D] Training Center

  • The Training Center is where Trainees go to complete their training.
  • Once their training is complete, trainees will be ranked an LR rank and can work up their way up the chain if they show good dedication and bla bla bla. (See section 1 [D] Ranks)
    All staff members of Tide Cafe must have completed training to be ranked higher than Trainee, otherwise it will be counted as free ranking.

Section 4

Disturbances

TIDE CAFE DOES NOT TOLERATE DISTURBANCES IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

[A] Trollers

  • “Trollers” are players that starts arguments, tell lies, distract, etc.
  • Any person who is suspected as a troll will be given 3 warnings. After 3 warnings are given further more serious moderation actions will be taken.

[B] Spammers

  • Spammers are players that flood the chat with the same or similar messages.
  • i - Minor spammers are “spammers” that spam on a much smaller scale compared to major spammers. Minor Spammers should get 3 warnings before serious moderation actions are taken.
  • ii - Major spammers are spammers that absolutely flood the chat with as many messages as possible, usually resulting in lag or make the chat useless since you can’t see messages sent by other players. Major Spammers should get NO warnings and serious moderation actions will be taken immediately.

[C] Exploiters

EXPLOITING WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BLACKLIST FROM TIDE CAFE WITH NO CHANCE OF APPEAL.

  • Exploiters are players who use the work of external programs to execute code into a roblox game. This is strictly forbidden on Tide Cafe grounds, AND roblox. It’s against the TOS
  • Exploiters get no warnings and will be BLACKLISTED PERMANENTLY immediately.

[D] Toxicity

  • Toxicity and trolling go hand in hand in some cases. Toxicity is the act of starting arguments for NO reason and trying to get another player to get as mad as possible.
  • If someone is being “toxic” it is best to ignore them as they will leave you alone once they realize you aren’t paying attention to them. “Toxic” players feed off of people’s reactions, giving them no reaction will result in them most likely leaving.
  • Toxic players will be counted as Trollers and should recieve 3 warnings before serious moderation actions are taken.

[E] Loopholers?

  • I don’t know what this is called officially, but in my description it is a player that finds a “loophole” in the rules.
  • Generally “loopholers” will find something that was most likely not stated in these terms and will use it to their advantage.
  • “Loopholers” should get warnings depending on what they are doing.
  • i - If you feel as something is not stated but feels wrong, use common sense and try to avoid it.

Section 5

Moderation Actions

EXPLOITING WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BLACKLIST FROM TIDE CAFE WITH NO CHANCE OF APPEAL.

[A] Warnings

  • Staff members have the right to warn guests at the cafe if they feel that their behavior is in violation of these terms. (See section 4 Disturbances)
  • If a “Disturbance” has reached the maximum warnings more severe moderation actions may take place such as a kick/ban.
  • i - If the disturbance has left and rejoin their warnings do not reset. If the disturbance was kicked, their warnings reset.

[B] Kicks

  • A member may be kicked if their behavior is in violation of these terms.
  • 2 previous kicks will result in a one day ban or higher depending on the actions the disturbance has taken.

Bans are a last resort option, we do not wish to ban a player but WILL if they are in violation of these terms.

[C] One Day Ban

  • The disturbance is restricted from accessing Tide Cafe’s grounds on their account for 1 whole day.
  • Given to a disturbance as a result to being reviewed or 2 previous kicks.

[D] Three Day Ban

  • The disturbance is restricted from accessing Tide Cafe’s grounds on their account for 3 days.
  • Given to a disturbance as a form of suspension or previous moderation history with Tide Cafe.

[E] Seven Day Ban

  • The disturbance is restricted from accessing Tide Cafe’s grounds on their account for 7 days.
  • Given to a disturbance as a form of major suspension or previous moderation history with Tide Cafe.

[F] Account Blacklist

  • Former highest form of moderation at Tide Cafe.
  • The disturbance is restricted from accessing Tide Cafe’s grounds on their account forever unless appealed.
  • Given to a disturbance as a last resort due to moderation history with Tide Cafe or exploiting.

[G] Friend Blacklist

  • Highest form of moderation at Tide Cafe.
  • The disturbance and everyone on their friends list is restricted from accessing Tide Cafe’s grounds on their account forever unless appealed.
  • Given to a disturbance as a serious last resort due to history with Tide Cafe (such as treason lol), mass exploiting, or raiding with alternative accounts.
  • Can only be given by the Chairperson (Me :D) themselves due to the severity of the account restriction, believe me… This is the last resort-resort.

Suspensions are for Staff Members that violate these terms. They are not permitted to work during a suspension

[G] One Day Suspension

  • The staff member is restricted from working at Tide Cafe on their account for 1 whole day.
  • May result in a 1 day ban, depending on their actions.

[H] Three Day Suspension

  • The staff member is restricted from working at Tide Cafe on their account for 3 days.
  • May result in a 3 day ban, depending on their actions.
  • Usually, this form of suspension is given if the user is put under review.

[I] Seven Day Suspension

  • The staff member is restricted from working at Tide Cafe on their account for 7 days.
  • May result in a 7 day ban, depending on their actions.
  • Most severe form of Staff Member suspension.

[J] Appealing

  • If you feel as if your moderation action was unjust, use the Appeal Form in the Tide Cafe Discord.
  • Sending rant appeals or appeals that are begging, hateful, unprofessional, etc. may result in a more severe moderation action.

[K] Under Review

  • Given to a member of Tide Cafe as a result to having their appeal being read.
  • Can also be given to a member if they are being held on “trial” (I.E, a staff member have banned them but have no evidence to prove why they are banned.), if a staff member is believed/suspected of having involvement with disturbances, etc.
  • A holding rank for investigations, or pending moderation actions.
