Tips needed on modeling Tower Defense maps

Hey Developers!

I’m currently the map Modeler/Builder for “Tower Defense Mayhem” by “Create Studios”

And I want to do my best. And part of that is doing the research; which is exactly what I’m doing right now.

I’m looking for any tips on creating strictly Tower Defense Maps.
What I’m not looking for is tips on game mechanics and such.

My only suggestion to you is to avoid sharp turns as it does not look appealing

take real life city buildings references, and simplify them in your mind, also mix it with oficial td maps, lowpoly maps and so on helps
