Tips to make my game more popular

Hey, I recently created a game that took over 3 weeks to make. I put a lot of effort into it, coded, built and did everything myself but I was a bit disappointed to see in the first few days it only reach 34 visits. I know that it is really hard to get a game popular but it would be really good for some tips and tricks!

If you would like to play my game and give feedback its here: raise a đź—ż [Update] - Roblox

You need to set the “age guidelines” for your game because it’s N/A, meaning only 13+ can play.

For that you need advertisement from youtubers or people who share and play your game with their friends, and also have something special in your game to keep the players playing. That can be something related to your game mechanic or idea that gives players a reward(s) for their deed.

I think the main reason it’s not getting much success is because these types of games just aren’t as popular as they used to be. I know it sucks working on something for a while and then it not turning out great. Whenever you make a game based on an already large and oversaturated genre, success is just far harder to achieve, and you need to have something that makes your game feel unique in some core way. You need uniqueness/content in your game for it to become a big breakout success.

If you want to continue developing the game because you enjoy working on it, then you should of course keep working on it, and I think you should just try polishing the game and fleshing it out. Give it things like a night and day system, random events that happen every day or so. But if you want to continue the game only because of the sole hope of big success (or because you feel like you’ve just sunk too much time to give up), it may not be worth it. Even if a game doesn’t end up being a success, at least you got experience from it and learned more.
