50 reasons why TomDaCat AI is actually a really good resource

1.- Having access to many AI models through one integration can significantly simplify development.

2.- Developers don’t necessarily have to build a completely separate integration for every AI provider. :robot:

3.- Having multiple models available gives developers more choice.

4.- Different AI models can have different strengths, so having several available can be useful. :brain:

5.- A developer can choose a model based on the specific task they are trying to accomplish.

6.- Having multiple models available also makes experimentation easier. :microscope:

7.- Being able to call AI directly from a Roblox game opens up many possible gameplay applications.

8.- AI can potentially be used for dynamic dialogue. :speech_balloon:

9.- AI can potentially be used for interactive NPCs.

10.- Having this functionality available through a single resource makes experimenting with these ideas much more accessible. :rocket:

11.- AI-generated NPC dialogue could make certain experiences feel more dynamic.

12.- Different players could potentially receive different responses instead of seeing completely static dialogue. :video_game:

13.- AI could potentially be used for procedural storytelling.

14.- It could be used to create more reactive characters. :performing_arts:

15.- It could potentially help developers prototype AI-powered mechanics without building every component themselves.

16.- It can make experimenting with AI inside Roblox considerably more convenient. :gear:

17.- Developers can potentially compare different models for the same gameplay mechanic.

18.- Comparing models can help developers determine which one fits their particular use case. :bar_chart:

19.- Having alternatives is useful when one model isn’t suitable for a particular task.

20.- Overall, having many models available from one place provides a lot of flexibility. :globe_with_meridians:

21.- The resource can potentially reduce the amount of integration code a developer needs to maintain.

22.- Maintaining many separate AI integrations can become tedious. :hammer_and_wrench:

23.- A unified interface can make the developer experience simpler.

24.- It can make switching between supported models easier. :counterclockwise_arrows_button:

25.- A unified approach can also make experimentation less disruptive to an existing project.

26.- Developers can focus more on what they actually want the AI to do rather than rebuilding integrations. :laptop:

27.- This can be especially useful during prototyping.

28.- Prototypes benefit from being quick to build and modify. :high_voltage:

29.- AI-powered features can otherwise require significant setup before developers can even begin experimenting.

30.- A resource that reduces that initial setup can therefore be valuable. :package:

31.- It brings AI functionality closer to the actual Roblox development environment.

32.- That makes the concept particularly interesting for developers building interactive experiences. :building_construction:

33.- Roblox games are inherently interactive, which makes AI-powered interaction a natural area to explore.

34.- AI can potentially respond to player input dynamically. :speech_balloon:

35.- This could allow developers to create systems that would be difficult to implement entirely through prewritten dialogue.

36.- It could potentially support more varied conversational experiences. :speaking_head:

37.- It can give developers another tool for creating emergent gameplay.

38.- The same underlying resource could potentially be used for many completely different game concepts. :video_game:

39.- That makes it more flexible than a resource designed around one specific gameplay mechanic.

40.- The number of potential applications is therefore quite large. :globe_showing_americas:

41.- It is also valuable simply because it gives developers another option.

42.- Developers have different preferences, budgets, technical requirements, and project ideas. :light_bulb:

43.- A resource that provides additional options can be useful even if a developer doesn’t use every available model.

44.- Having many models available means developers aren’t forced to commit to one model for every possible task. :shuffle_tracks_button:

45.- It also creates opportunities to test which models work best for a particular experience.

46.- The fact that this functionality can be accessed from Roblox makes the concept especially relevant to Roblox developers. :red_square:

47.- It lowers the barrier to experimenting with AI-powered game mechanics.

48.- It can potentially turn an AI idea from “this would be cool” into something that can actually be prototyped. :rocket:

49.- A resource that makes developers want to experiment with new mechanics is already providing value.

50.- And after writing 49 completely serious reasons about why having around 60 AI models available directly from a Roblox game is useful, I think we can safely conclude that this is, in fact, a pretty good resource. :robot:

What makes this better than the first-party TextGenerator instance Roblox provides to developers at no additional expense compared to this?

The difference is that Tomdacat AI provides acces to more better and advanced models its for people who want better ai responses.

Is there any prompt caching on these models? If so, I’d definitely use this

Kind of doubtful tbh. Most definitely they’re routing you to a legitimate provider at a 2-3x markup. There is no use for a tool like this. Just save your money and get a legitimate provider. Also are they for real? 9M tokens for the most expensive plan? What tokens in, out? Cached not cached? Also I see they include the cheapest models you can get per token in the plan. Deepseek v4 flash costs around .3 to .12 usd per m tokens out.
If you want to experiment with models set up opencode with an openrouter API (it lets you use all the popular models like this does) and set up the MCP server. You can ask it to do it for you and will most likely do it. You can go openrouter + Deepseek v4 flash 0731 (cheap as dirt), a better upgrade would be GLM 5.2 and top tier would be of course claude models with claude code and their subscription.

And why wouldn’t people just get a genuine subscription to ollama cloud or claude? Also your website is a bit sketchy. It’s not clear what you are paying for. I don’t want to see my usage in bot messages or some random format you decided. The plans also don’t clarify if it’s tokens out or in. Cached or not. You don’t clarify any estimated performance or uptime. What provider you are offloading us to is not stated.

Hey, I’ll definitely make it more explanatory about token caching

The biggest upgrade is you can pay with robux and those models are not that big but they are genuinly strong coding models the plans are not made for everyone if you prefer claude code via mcp or ollama cloud its your choice.

The coding subscriptions are really new and we are still experimenting with models to add and the limits feedback is greatly appreciated im trying to add claude models and frontier gpt models thanks for your feedback!

Just glanced over this so forgive me if im wrong…

But whats the difference between this and stuff like https://openrouter.ai???

The difference is that this is specifically made for roblox developers and you can top up with robux so you dont have to pay with a credit card

It sounds like you are heavily misinterpreting what that part of the ToS actually covers. What they are doing is perfectly fine because they aren’t “selling Robux” or buying it either, if this was considered to be either of those then literally every developer that accepts Robux as a commission payment would be violating ToS but they aren’t.

There are also numerous other sorts of services that have been advertsed on the forum which accept Robux as a form of payment (of which, they likely also have pretty similar terms in their ToS because that kind of language is pretty standard in most services).

The ToS states as permitted by roblox.
“You may not use, acquire, or distribute Robux or Virtual Content except through the Services and except as expressly allowed by Roblox.”
“Any use of third-party services that allow Users to sell, transfer, purchase, or otherwise use Robux is a violation of these Terms.”

And if you look at the explanation on their pricing page, you will notice that they are handling Robux transactions clearly through permitted means (developer products inside of a game). Did you actually even bother doing any research beyond only reading Roblox and their ToS’?

how much did you get paid to send this

youre just saying the same 5 things over and over again

If you used the time that took you to prompt chatgpt and add images, you would be way more productive and maybe wouldnt complain on devforum all day.

Nice, you tried to guess a person’s whole life on a sarcastic comment they left on your post

I do agree it was maybe an immature thing of me to reply with that, but nah it’s been 2 days i’ll leave it there

Also, what do you define as productive? I use the devforum to practice my English (I’m not a native speaker of the English language), to discuss with people (which also helps with my English), and also to obviously learn about the Roblox engine and everything about it…

Not to mention that outside of online activities, I also play guitar, study, try doing exercise, running, I already have a stable CCU game here on Roblox, what do you want me to do more?

Also, what do you mean with “complain all day”? I have seen my recent activity and I believe that I don’t do that, maybe you confused me with another person?

Anyways, not sure what 2 minutes of writing that post will change anything if I didn’t do this

But other than that, leaving sarcasm and everything, I hope you have good luck in your resources (like this one) to help people that may need them. Good luck
