this would be for a rpg combat game that has both first and 3rd person mechanics
What do you mean by 'custom" tools?
Roblox tools works good enough, they offer you everything you will need. I don’t think there’s a need for custom tools. (That’s just my opinion)

It depends what you need. If the Roblox tools work for you, thats fine, but if you need more customizability, you might want to make your own tools.
Want to prevent the player from unequipping a tool? Its a lot easier if you make your own tools. It just depends what you need to be done.
