It would be nice if the topbar was a little more used. For instance, if you have the screenspace, it would show your R$, Tickets, Friend Requests, and Unread Messages.
Then it could give you a little CoreGUI popup when you click on either Friend Requests or Unread Messages to either reply/accept/decline/etc.
It would be nice to see messages come in live as I’m playing games. Maybe make this a setting so people who get swamped by PMs wouldn’t be spammed?
This would be really neat actually, the idea fits so well with the top bar.
But since the Core Gui source can be edited soon, it may be exploitable. Then again I may be highly wrong.
I disagree. The CoreGUI is already able to access your funds when you do transactions. This is just displaying it in another way.
As for messages/FRs, these are also secure enough for the client. Other users would need to know your login/.ROBLOSECURITY to send these as you.
I realized that shortly after posting and how idiotic it sounded, so I deleted what I said. Also gave feedback on displaying friendrequests.
(Check EDIT)
If people would like that, then alright, but if there continues to be no option to disable it, then features like you’re proposing would honestly start seriously crippling any immersion a game’s trying to bring. I’m trying to play something pretty engaging like Last Of Us, or Red Dead Redemption, or Arkham City, with my bank info, social media updates, xbox messages all on the side in a bar? FORCEFULLY? That’s really inconsiderate for the game. And just weird.
Maybe you’re not feeling the same vibe: something like that would make gameplay feel really weird, so I hope some people feel the same way. (that immersion matters)
Emphasis on “If people would like that, then alright”. I’m not saying these are exactly bad ideas, this was just a post to further support an option to disable the top bar, so it was kinda off topic. Sorry :L
