Transform Tools Plus|Level Up Your Studio Game!

Hey everyone! I am excited to finally share the Transform Tools Plus plugin! I built this plugin due to the current limitations the native studio tools suffer from, one of which is the inability to scale multiple parts along the same axis. This was the greatest inspiration for me to build this tool.

While other plugins do similar stuff, they feel like afterthoughts—useful sometimes, but I never fully rely on them. It’s not seamless and I can never fully integrate it as part of my work flow like this plugin does.

So then you might ask - why this plugin?

  1. Its familiar - It sticks to the studio transform tool visuals and retains shortcut functionality.
  2. It feels integrated - It feels like its part of Studio, no button hunting, no extra interface or UI you need to navigate.
  3. It respects transform settings - It uses the integrated rotate/move increment values, and adapts to world/local space settings.
  4. Easy to use - It uses the same functionality as the existing studio tools, simple, easy to understand and no learning curve. Perfect for beginners and veteran builders alike!

What it does

This plugin makes the transform tools way more flexible in a seamless way that allows you to modify parts on their individual axes without compromising workflow.

To start using it, activate one of the following default studio tools and hold space with an active selection. When in Global Axis Mode, it will use the bounding box of your selection. When in Local Axis Mode, it will use the last (or “active”) part in your selection.

Move
  • Global - Selected parts will attempt to follow the chosen axis direction as closely as possible along its own local direction

  • Local - Selected parts will follow its own local axis relative to the chosen axis.

Scale
  • Global - Selected parts will attempt to scale in the chosen axis direction as closely as possible along its own local direction.

  • Local - Selected parts will scale in its own local axis relative to the chosen axis

  • Holding CTRL - Similar behavior to default studio tools, bidirectional scaling.

Rotate
  • Global - Selected parts will rotate in the chosen axis direction around their pivots.

  • Local - Selected parts will rotate along its own local pivot axis relative to the chosen axis.

  • Holding CTRL - Will rotate selected parts around the active (last selected) parts pivot.

Holding Shift while any tools are active will disable increments.

You can get this plugin at the Marketplace here!

Whoa that’s really cool! Looks like blender!

You should probably include that it’s a paid tool though.

Fair enough, I can include that in the post! But the whole idea was to make it look like the native Roblox tools, not blender haha.

Update: Will temporarily make this plugin free, I encourage everyone to give the plugin a try!

Thanks for the Plugin - dying to test it - once I can find it

As you can see - it has been installed - but not in my Plugins Tab - and can’t find it to add it to mine.

I searched The full name - just Transform - just Tools - just Plus - and even creator name - and Nada.
Hope they fix this soon.

@MeshOfPaul - here’s another example (just a FYI moment lol).

OK it’s weird it’s not showing up in at least the Plugins tab (same for me). I will flag with the team. Thanks!

Ahhh… our smarter-than-me engineers pointed out this plugin doesn’t create a GUI so there’s no toolbar button to show.

I’m not sure what that’s supposed to mean lol - (“plugin doesn’t create a GUI”).
It doesn’t create a GUI - as in an Icon ?

It’s just a Plugin - that is not showing up anywhere.
Could it be bcoz of too many plugins ?

Either way.. it’s still supposed to show up in the search - to add to our Tabs - No ?

There is no plugin toolbar button for this plugin, its designed to work straight out of the box. You just need to hold Space to activate it when one of your default studio transform tools are active

Thanks - that’s good to know. It’s different to the standard ways - off the ribbon.
I still couldn’t get it to turn the way you had it in the demo clips.
Guess I will have to play a little more with it.
Thanks again.
