Trying to be an all sides developer

Hi, I’m 50kaqxc. I’m a decent builder. I currently try to be a dev that can solo make games and groups things like logo and ads etc. I’m specialize at military genre, currently I know how to build and make some military regiment group logo. What should I learn next?

Programming.

It’s one of the hardest tasks (durability, Luau constantly getting updated with new features that you may need or want to keep on top of, a wide range of opportunities and potential for experience) but programmers cost a lot more than architects for military projects, especially clanning.

You also need a fairly good amount of perseverence.

Thanks for your suggestion but I think I’ll the it after all other things because Im suck at script ;-;

I think I’ll try blender first.

Scripting. You can learn mesh editor, building, desighing, but without scripts you won’t create anything costwide.
I’m all sided dev (not 100% guarantee, bc maybe i miss something), and primary thing that I use even in building is scripting. It will allow you create facing towards your camera or target part parts, it will allow you create primitives, which can use mathematical functions, like sinus and cosinus. You can create ideal arches, add random textures it it, and a lot more!

So, I think the most needed thing that you need learn is SCRIPTING, trust me.
P.S: Blender not really hard. Just manipulation with dots-verticles, and some modifiers.

I have to agree with the others on this.

Scripting is a really important skill every game developer should familiarize themselves with. It is how you bring your games and objects to life.

If you are hesitant because you say you are bad at scripting, then trust me, everybody has zero knowledge of scripting until they just… learn.

Watch a few youtube videos, try and try again and again, and you will see huge progress after a few months.

As for blender, it is a really good platform that every modeler should use for Roblox assets, and you won’t have to stress about free models anymore either. But just like scripting, you will have to work hard to get better at it.

Good luck with your projects!! :slightly_smiling_face:

Scripting, scripting and scripting… and when you learn scripting, move on to advanced scripting. I solo develop and I can tell you it is the hardest one to learn, so the earlier you begin the better. You cannot have a decent game without knowing how to script the basics atleast.

Best of luck!
