I am a modeler and have been for about 1 and a half years, I’m thinking of trying out building, is there anything I should know and how did others get started?

I suggest you to start learning the basics at first, Below there are some tutorials that can help you :
After you learn the basics start working on small building projects like a small house or a forest etc. Every time you will do a small project try and find things that would made it better and apply them to the next project you are gonna do.
It is mostly experience so you gotta practice a lot. Wish you luck

Yeah they do, i use it too and it’s very helpfull. But it depends on your style of building.
