I’m making a game where your player doesnt automatically load and instead you can control your camera using either the mobile joystick or W A S D like Roblox Studio, however I can’t find a way to unload the player.
I’ve tried disabling CharacterAutoLoad in Players but that causes the baseplate and other stuff to not load in.
Calling :RemoveCharacter() also doesn’t work.
Is there any other solution? Since I have a GUI that displays all instances at runtime but I do not want it loading in that GUI.
Okay so you can disable CharacterAutoLoads and workspace.StreamingEnabled and then everything should load in, except for the player character.
This isn’t recommended though if you have big maps or stuff that shouldn’t be loaded in when the player isn’t there.
So instead you can make a black box and shove it somewhere in the middle of nowhere and put the spawnlocation there. This way the player’s character will be stored in the box and the player won’t be able to see their character. (assuming you change the camera type to scriptable and move it somewhere else so the player’s camera isn’t in the box aswell).
