Turn-based Roguelite Early Build | Feedback Wanted

Hey, all!

I’m currently developing a game that I started a little over a year ago. Progress has been a bit slow, but it has nonetheless been steady. And I must admit, it’s still fairly early in development.

It’s a turn-based roguelite dungeon crawler with survival elements and resource management. (Oddly enough, I’ve seen numerous games of similar genres popping up on this platform recently)

Its main selling point at this moment is its limb-based combat system, of which I’m especially proud. More is to come, but I’d appreciate any feedback from the developer community!

Some assets are placeholders, and many visuals (VFX, SFX, animations, etc.) are missing. The following is a short clip of all of the important combat menu navigations.

Thank you for your time!

The pixel art is really stylish! I like the white engraved borders you’ve added to the character UI and sides of the screen. There are a couple of other F&H inspired Roblox projects in active development with a limb targeting system. I believe the turn-based roguelite genre will continue to grow in popularity on Roblox, especially if the genre specializes in co-op play, will your project support co-op?

Funger partly inspired the original conception of the project, but to separate my game from that association, the best course of action was to improve upon that mechanic and build it into something unique entirely. The combat system is now centered on the limb-based system, with many different mechanics involved. I hope this produces a deeper level of gameplay!

One of my main goals is for the game to have its own identity. Unfortunately, given Funger’s growing name, that association will likely persist for the project’s entire duration.

I actually haven’t heard of any other similar projects, apart from other turn-based games in development. Do you happen to know any of them? If so, I’d love to check them out.

Unfortunately, my project will be strictly single-player (partly for technical reasons). I fear that this may reduce a portion of potential players who might have been interested. Nonetheless, the game is intended for single-player for its game and story progression.

Thank you for your compliments!
