As you can see on the video, i decided to insert tags on my UGC item that start with A, B, C (Abstract, Backpack, Camo) for make it easier to remenber for this demonstration purpose, and when we save it then Refresh the website, the tags gets shuffled to a different sequence.
It might not seem like a problem, but recently I’ve been wondering why my newest items weren’t performing well in sales. After many weeks of research, I discovered that all my UGC items uploaded after 2023 had their tags scrambled.
Expected behavior
Let’s say I inserted the tags in the following order:
-TAG 1 , TAG 2 , TAG 3
or
A , B , C , D …
So, if I click “Save changes,” the tags should have remained in the same order.
As far as I know, the order of the tags doesn’t matter, and I don’t think your item gets recommended based on any specific order either. I’d appreciate it if a staff member could confirm, but it looks like there’s nothing to fix here…
Don’t worry, Yavuz, I spent weeks, maybe months, testing the performance.

Better yet, I’d be happy if you could share the results you’ve obtained with your UGC sales so far…
my sales have randomly dropped as well recently. It feels like they changed something in the algorithm. I’m glad someone is bringing up the weird sales performance of ugc recently.
The only thing I was able to notice was marketplace recommending a select few items to me and my alt. No matter how many times I refreshed, I would still be recommended with the SAME items I had no interest in. So I’m not sure if that might also be a contributing factor to low sales: users not getting a clean rotation of recommended ugc items + avatars.

Just to clarify, the order of your tags won’t affect your item’s sales performance or discoverability, so you shouldn’t see any impact on how your item is surfaced.
