I’ve noticed that recently, UGC emotes are taking much longer than usual to pass moderation. In the past, most of my submissions were reviewed within a few hours, but now I’m seeing review times stretch to 12–24 hours or even longer.
For example, I submitted 4 emotes yesterday and it’s still marked as In Moderation with no status change. I’ve also heard from other creators experiencing the same delays, so it doesn’t seem to be an isolated case.
Questions for Roblox Staff & Fellow Creators
Is this slowdown expected due to higher submission volume or a recent change in the moderation process?
Are emotes getting extra scrutiny compared to other UGC asset types?
I understand that moderation is essential to keep the platform safe and high-quality, but having more predictable review times would really help UGC creators coordinate launches, promotions, and updates.
