Hey! Not something I’d usually post about but I’ve ran into a dead end.
I’ve been creating shoes for UGC, and all is well both visually and technically - until we get to actually having the items published.
When publishing the items, the thumbnail displays ALL shoes as 90 degrees past their intended rotation position. See below :
When uploading initially, it shows it fine in the preview window.
I’ve tried an array of fixes both in blender and in studio, including clearing and reparenting everything, applying all transforms and even entirely re-rigging the shoes.
It costs money, but I highly recommend the thumbnail tool in this kit, it works like a charm:

hi!!! thanks for the reply - unfortunately thumbnails cant be set for layered clothing / bundles
When exporting it from Blender, try rotating it 270 degrees in Blender before exporting it and see if the default thumbnail changes (assuming you have not already tried this)

I did try this!! It unfortunately didnt change anything. I ended up re-caging and re-rigging from a primitive low poly model I had (for the 3rd time) and for some reason it had fixed itself. I must’ve been doing something wrong during that stage in the other attempts I had. I really appreciate the time and effort put into assisting me. Thanks!
No worries! Kind of lame Roblox doesn’t let you have a custom thumbnail on layered clothing or bundles
