UI Ghosting/Artifacting from transparent Frames when changing Graphics Quality

This is a rendering artifact bug that occurs when changing graphics quality while a complex UI is visible.

The issue is very likely an engine performance/memory bug, not a user script error.

We have confirmed the following:

  • The ScreenGui in question contains over 450 GuiObjects, with heavy use of UICorner and UIStroke.

  • The bug persists even after disabling all custom animation libraries (Spring-driven motion - spr) and all RenderStepped update loops. All scripting causes have been ruled out.

  • The bug does not reproduce in a minimal test place with only a few GuiObjects. It only occurs with the full, complex UI.

This strongly suggests the engine is failing to properly clear the render buffer when reloading a very large number of GuiObjects.

My System Information:
CPU: i7-14700KF
GPU: RTX 4070 Ti
RAM: 64Gb DDR5

i would feel like this would be a problem with your code. but im really not sure how changing graphics quality would prevent code from running

very strange

Are you perchance using a CanvasGroup? It is still pretty unclear what the issue is.
