UIS (User Input Service) Fails to properly render Mouse controls in live servers

I have been working on a gun engine using UIS, and have been noticing that while in a live play session, sometimes the client FAILS TO RECONIZE a MOUSE1UP event. Causing guns to continuously fire, without any direct input being active.

Heres what the studio side looks like:
Studio Side

Heres what happens on a server:
Live Server

Expected behavior

What should occur is that the server side should act like how studios shows. It shoudl stop when I stop clicking, but sometimes, it just keeps firing.

Salutations!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Have A Nice Day!

Hi,

Thanks for the report. Are no UserInputService InputEnded signals being fired at all, or are they being fired with gameProcessedEvent set to true? Please provide us a minimal repro file / instructions and we’ll be happy to look into it.

Fired before the end part, I am guessing it may be easier for me to code something in that would fix it, but I would be fine enough to post the current state of the script. I don’t really mind if it gets published, as theres nothing that is planned to be protected from exploiters anyways.

If you want to make it minimal, remove anythign that is com, plex, adn check the base things, FindService is a custom script parser that just allows the server to give the player the location of a object, feel free to tinker with it and try to get a reproduced issue.

Inside the videos provided as evidence previously, sometimes the end part triggers earlier.

Might make it so the value for shooting is a number value instead of anything else.

NVM, I think I finally figured out what the issue is:
Invoke server triggers after yeilding, so it may continue firing even though shooting is disabled

Thanks for the response, glad to see the issue is resolved. We’ll close this ticket. Let us know if you have any other issues with UIS!
