UIStroke + UIGradient can cut the stroke partially out of rendering now

Description

This is a screenshot from DOORS.

This here was taken from my phone.

And this here was taken from a laptop.

Now… there’s something strange… The stroke is cut in the other one?

I don’t recall this always being an issue. I believe it happened several weeks ago, maybe?

Note that the stroke gets cut depending on the position as well, if it is put under a SurfaceGui. Not sure if it is DPI related.

Re-production Steps

See the attached files and videos in the Private Message.

Note: This issue is not re-producable on everything, apparently it depends on display settings, such as DPI and etc.

So, if you can’t re-produce it, try changing these settings.

  • A SurfaceGui or BillboardGui needs to be created
  • A Frame could be put into it
  • UICorner underneath it to turn it into a circle
  • UIStroke
  • UIGradient under the stroke, and then you give it a gradient. Needs to transition specifically.
  • Rotate the gradient 90°
  • Then you need to resize it until the corners cut

It isn’t such a bad idea though to add an opacity value for Color Sequences at this point.

This also happens to me. I was going to report this issue some time ago but I forgot .

It seems that this happens in certain orientations of UIGradient.

Hi, we’ve found the roll-out that caused the issue and we will disable it for now.
