Unable to Create Free Private Servers on My Account – "Transaction Failed" Error 🥀

Description

When attempting to create a free private server on my account, I consistently receive a “Transaction Failed – We are having a problem completing your purchase. Please try again in a few minutes.” error message, no matter when I try.

This issue does not occur on my alternate accounts. Also, on this account, I can purchase private servers that cost Robux without any issue. The problem only occurs when trying to create free private servers.

There are no privacy restrictions, parental controls, or other limitations on my account that would block this. I have double-checked the settings.

Where It Happens

My account: https://www.roblox.com/users/520893848/profile
The issue happens on any game that offers free private servers.

When It Happens

It started happening recently (June 15, 2025)
No matter when I try, the problem always occurs. I have tested this multiple times across different days and games.

Reproduction Steps

Since the issue seems specific to my account, I can’t reproduce it on other accounts. On my alt accounts, free private servers can be created just fine.
There are no special steps needed—just trying to create a free private server is enough to trigger the error on my account.

Did you already reach the max limit on free private servers you’re allowed to open?

It happened to me as well. My solution is to close one free private server so you could open this one.

Though, in retrospect, Roblox should increase the limit of free private servers you’re allowed to create.

I don’t think this is a case of hitting a limit, because it says “Try again in a few minutes.”
If I had reached the limit, I don’t think it would ask me to try again — it would probably show a different message.

I don’t have that many free private servers anyway. I’m not sure what the actual limit is, but I definitely have less than that. :skull_and_crossbones::pray:

I’ve had this before, I’m pretty sure it’s caused by roblox not properly displaying server count before you refresh

Refreshing will get roblox to realize you’ve already gotten a private server and it’ll blank out the button (why does it even mention a limit though if it’s very obviously 1 server only?)
But if you don’t refresh and you try to make another server in this state, this error should appear

Actually, I already did that, and the issue is still happening. Even a friend who logged into my account from a different device couldn’t create a private server.
We tried refreshing everything, but nothing worked… :wilted_flower:

It is possible that this is because you’ve hit the max on free private servers (across all games). The error message is just misleading. Try deactivating any free private server you have

Then my report is about this error being misleading. Either way, there is an issue, and I hope it gets fixed.
