Unable to join friend through the home page

When joining a friend through the Roblox home page, I expect to be put into the same server my friend is in. Instead I am sent to a server my friend is not in. This only happens in highly populated servers, as this bug does not appear when I join my friend that’s alone in a server.

System Information

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processer

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030

RAM: 16 GB

  • This started happening on September 10th, 2021 at around 3:00 PM. My time zone is Central Standard Time (UTC-6)

  • The bug does not appear when I join a friend that’s alone in a server.

  • Browser version: Microsoft Edge Version 93.0.961.47

  • Impact: Low

  • Frequency: Constantly

Reproduction Steps

  1. Go on the Roblox home page.

  2. Hover over a friend’s avatar.

  3. Press the green “join” button.

This bug happens 50% of the time when I join a highly populated server.
