Unable to Launch Any Games From Safari on MacOS

Reproduction Steps:
Attempt to open any Roblox game from the website.

Device Info

User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.1 Safari/605.1.15
Platform Type: Mac
Device Type: Computer

Expected Behavior:
I expect for the launcher to start or receive a message asking if I want to allow Roblox.com to launch the Roblox Player.

Actual Behavior:
When clicking the Play button, I receive a simple Loading modal and then a download and install Roblox modal. The https://auth.roblox.com/v1/authentication-ticket/ endpoint is returning a blank JSON object ({}). The request for this does not appear to contain a body.

Does the same issue apply to any other macOS web browsers? I cannot reproduce the issue in macOS Big Sur.

I tested with Brave and did not experience the issue. It’s still a bug though.

Somehow this is fine again? Not sure what happened that made it work again.

It works fine for me on MacBook Pro and macOS Big Sur, I think you should just reset your browser if it keeps not launching. Try deleting your cookies or something like that in your browser settings, It should fix it. Hope it works for you!

I’m also having this issue on an M1 Mac mini

That might have to do with the fact that you’re using an Apple Silicon Mac. I would recommend creating a bug report of your own.

I was able to resolve this problem with a reinstall of Roblox, downloading the .dmg and running it again.

@LegacyAviator I would if I were able to create posts on the thread.
