Unable to Update Studio (and Uninstall)

When opening Roblox Studio, I am greeted (on the top right) with this:

When I press it, the application just closes and nothing happens. And then when I open the application again, it’s still there, and the application did not even update. Now, what I tried doing next was reinstalling Roblox Studio by uninstalling it first, but when I try to uninstall Roblox Studio, nothing happens, and the application does not uninstall.

Basic System Information:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
RAM: 16GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

Alright, thanks. I’ve sent a “log” file.
But I can’t seem to find the .DMP file for the Program dump. There is also no /archive folder.

Can you also check for a log under the “Roblox / Studio does not open properly” section from How to post a Bug Report - #12 by Roblox? This should give us the updater logs as well, not just for Studio

Hi @Hanselkek thank you for the report. It looks like the Installer might be corrupted on your system. The Installer is what performs the uninstallation, so that also explains why you’re unable to uninstall as well.

Could you share your most recent few days worth of logs in %localappdata%\Roblox\logs? I’d like to investigate what got you into this situation.

To fix the issue, I suggest trying to download a new Studio Installer from the website at https://www.roblox.com/download/studio and running it directly without uninstalling the existing Studio. The re-installation should overwrite the existing one.
