Ah, I see. I didn’t got it the first time.
Well, Premium is directed to playera rather than devs, but on Roblox the is a little small line between them.
It may be hard but from my point of view it isn’t really a big deal since they already had to buy monthly Premium
To upload a basic audio you have to pay 300 robux, no? Clothing can be assumed it will be in that ballpark- especially after they accidentally released this early a day or two ago and it started charging people 100 robux for every upload. Even if it is speculation, it’s backed by very well educated guesses based on what we already know.
I think clothing will just be phased out of the platform over time.
You are encouraging game development which is well intended and I do understand your opinion regarding this, however, excuse me for this rethorical trickery but, if this was reverse (as in “Places costing XX because botters are creating many misleading titles”) it’d cause the same amount of impact as this.
You’re joking right? One of the main things is to dress your character. They literally can’t just get rid of one of their most popular things, and a money maker for Roblox to begin with.
And then what? Players get no customization? Just blank slates? That is the basis of players enjoying UGC etc. So far you’ve proven with your poor responses what little you know of branding and player/dev accessibility on this platform.
The bots will continue either way, the update or not. They will spend group fund off of their group, and make a new script. This update does NOTHING but make legit designers unmotivated.
Roblox should just upload their own clothing, instead of allowing creators.
To be fair, it’s quite possible that 3D clothing will replace the current clothing system eventually. 2D clothes are boring, and outdated, while 3D clothes offer a charming spin on things.
Clothing won’t be phased out at all. There is going to be a big push to 3D clothing but to my knowledge that is still going to be user-generated and will come across many of the same issues as the current system.
The whole point of Roblox is for other players to use their creativity to create games and assets for the platform - clothing included.
If the barriers are lowered, wouldn’t we see more bots copying clothing, and being paid by their owner to keep uploading off of the profits made from these copied assets?
You’re also referring to me. I was a clothing designer for quite some time and also got some problems. Maybe I was lucky, but most people saying my designs were overpriced just got ignored by me. I didn’t care about them at all, and I got some other amazing commissions
When they allow 3d clothing for UGC creators they should delete the 2d clothing section on the catalog.
That’s quite interesting… Although, do you know if 3D clothes are going to work similar to the UGC catalog? Because it would be a real shame if 3D clothing goes down the same route as 2D. (Constantly getting stolen, low quality, etc)
No, they shouldn’t. It is like removing R6 just because Rthro appeared
They could remove R6 at any given time…
All I know is just hearsay from the DevForum, but I assume it would be similar to UGC at least to begin with. Uploading meshes in general were the same way but then eventually opened up to everyone to my remembrance.
Didn’t say that. Please read again.
Okay, what’s the fee? Last time I saw, it was 100 robux. That doesn’t seem very fair to me, if I were to do something like that, it’d be you paying the price of the item, and changing the price will come with the fee of the new price, too.
