Updating Marketplace Policy for Heads

I always find it really fascinating how not a single real concern, other than technical ones & perhaps a condescendingly naive interpretation of the actual problem, are ever addressed in these ill-conceived updates. I am genuinely intrigued by what the internal process might have been here.

They did address the concerns. They are giving people an entire month to make the needed changes to their most popular heads before they get taken off-sale, and then giving people another 4 months after that to fix their less popular heads that got taken off-sale. And even after that they will likely port the rest of the heads themselves.

Did you look at the current revenue from the existing dynamic head market against some perceived value you hope to gain by forcing this?

When they add this update it will allow for future updates that will let users sell layered makeup and layered hair with the knowledge that the lipstick they make will work on every mouth, and that the beards they make will fit on every head.

And all of this instead of like, you know, creating a dedicated “classic head” category

The minimum amount of expression that roblox is enforcing is not very high. Its not hard to reach their guidelines while keep the faces close to the original product.
