I can edit a place that was created using AssetService::CreatePlaceAsync by clicking the Edit button on its place page, but I can’t publish it back up to ROBLOX. This happens regardless of the changes I make, and results in two error messages saying “Failed to publish place!”
This is by design.
Why? What is the reasoning behind it. I think it should only apply to the Create to Inventory one.

I’d assume it’s so that it doesn’t make it incredibly easy for members to get past the maximum ownable places for their membership tier. (Create place, link to it via a teleporter. Update the newly created place whenever)

I’m actually using it to create workspaces for building; I find that personal build servers aren’t flexible enough and just generally don’t work like I want them to for my group (F3X). Specifically, I made a hub with restricted access that lets you create “workspaces” (with Building Tools, Place Command System, and a revision control system that saves every so often).
@Khanovich: If this is the reason why we can’t publish to dynamically-created places from Studio, can you guys at least make it BC-only or something? Or make personal build servers better? Or like, robux-costing? I don’t knowΓÇöI just really think it’s a critical feature.
