A couple weeks ago, my secondary account (username Bemaspro231) got taken over by a hacker. The hacker changed the birthdate, removed 2FA, put on parental controls, changed the email and password. I was eventually able to regain control of the account by resetting the password through my billing email.
However, shortly after recovering the account, it was permanently banned with the reason listed as: Creating or using an account to avoid an enforcement action taken against another account.
I believe this happened because the hacker’s own account was banned, and since they had temporary access to my account, possibly from the same IP address, the system mistakenly flagged Bemaspro231 as an alternate account.
I have submitted multiple appeals, but I only receive the same automated response: This action still violates the Roblox Community Standards.
I have not been provided with any further explanation. This account has had hundreds of thousands of Robux spent on it, and I had no control over it being hacked.
I kindly ask for a more detailed review of my case and I hope that my account can be revived once again.
Update 09/22 - I have not found a way yet to speak with a human being regarding this issue. Appeals get rejected automatically, appeals in a different category (like bug report) get automatic response like this:
The automatic ban system is flawed. I understand having a human check every ticket is costly for Roblox, but in cases like these - the account has over 400 thousand Robux worth of items on it. It got banned for no reason. Now I’m stranded.
Update 09/26 - Noone has review my request but bots. The appeals get automatically rejected. I have not been provided with a specific reason, nor have I gotten to speak with a real person. I can’t reply to emails because it’s no-reply. What are my options? Taking Roblox to court?
After more than a month, the account was finally unbanned. I am very grateful that the Roblox Moderation team has reviewed my case properly. If anyone is reading this and has their account unfairly banned, I hope the same outcome to you!
