The White Banded Red Top Hat is an item that is given out to participating developers for official Roblox events, this started in 2014 and doesn’t usually break cycle except for on a few occasions.
The Hatch event ended just over a month ago and with it came a new developer item, the Radiant Eggsignia. All participating developers obtained this item but something missing when it was given out was the White Banded Red Top Hat. It was expected to come along with it but is not seen in many developers inventories who participated in The Hatch.
The White Banded Red Top Hat item should be given out to the owners of the Radiant Eggsignia item, the developers who worked hard on The Hatch event, as it is not fair for these people to put in hard work and not at least get something bigger to show for it.
The original post is misleading because, contrary to what’s being claimed, even if the awarding of the specified item in this report started on December 15, 2014, it was discontinued after Egg Hunt 2020. However, it later returned for The Hunt: First Edition and all subsequent events, with “The Classic” event being an exception where this top hat was not awarded to developers. The cycle was broken multiple times, and many events that took place over the years between Egg Hunt 2020 and The Hunt: First Edition event were completely excluded from this.
Since there isn’t a consistent and periodic pattern here, it’s hard to tell if this was intentional. But considering that it was awarded in “THE ___” events (The Games, The Haunt, The Hunt: Mega Edition, The Hunt: First Edition), I think it’s possible that developers who contributed to “The Hatch” event could also be awarded the White Banded Red Top Hat.
That response is directly tied to the question of “Will Developers be awarded the White Banded Red Top Hat?” If they were going to award it, would they not have just said yes? This is clearly indicative that it is not intended to be awarded.
If you believe that you did not receive the White Banded Red Tophat from an Event you contributed to that was supposed to award it, please follow the instructions Hooksmith has provided: “Please have the developer of the experience you worked for during that event integration reach out to their DevRel contact or get them in contact with you to ask about this concern.”
Hey, we will not be actioning this, this is intended. If you were involved with a particular event and you have questions like this, please reach out to the appropriate stakeholder you were dealing with during that event.
