I’ve been thinking of game concepts that rely more on code rather than building and I thought of one but then the concept is from a canceled game show I used to watch.
However, the show itself is a copy of another famous game (Mafia) but with added elements. Are there any ToS or laws that restrict this? I won’t be copying the exact name of the show, won’t be using the same elements and I can credit the show as inspiration if needed. I hope you could help me out on this!
I wouldn’t. With Roblox moderation and of how many games have been taken down lately. You can do it but its a big risk.
Oh, that is unfortunate. But if I do decide to go with the concept by changing/removing some fundamental rules (in the show there were mini games to gain extra votes to be used to eliminate someone and it was kind of the star of the show) and changing it up (entirely removing the mini games and extra votes system), do you think I could get away with this?
I recently stumbled on a game that really reminds me of Big Brother but has different elements and that game is still going strong.

Yeah. Thanks tho! It might take me a while to think of another concept, but then its better than creating a game that’s eventually gonna be taken down.
