Using DataStore to check if a player already done an event

Since I am making a open-world game, I was wondering how can I use datastore to make sure a player has already went through the introduction. Unless, there is another way?

I am using Berezaa’s method DataStore:

Well I guess
DoneIntroduction = true?

How would I put it in the datastore? Should I use a booleanValue?

You can either use a boolean value in your datastore or you can use the badge method, award a badge for completeing the introduction and check if the user has that. The downside to the badge method is that badges can be deleted, so datastores are better and more reliable

I would discourage you to use that method, as Roblox now supports versioning by default, and has recently added a limit to the maximum amount of data you can store. The Berezaa method is quite data intensive so it will get you closer to that limit (although the limit is quite generous, and you are still very unlikely to hit it)
