Hello, my team and I are importing certain vehicles from Blender to Roblox in .FBX format, and most of the UV maps are of good quality. However, this is not the case with the main UV map of the vehicle body, it maintains a lower quality compared to the others. This affects both Roblox Studio and the player, for all players.
I want to emphasize that this only happens with the main UV map; the others display correctly. The only way to see the main UV map in good quality is through the preview function before importing.
The first image corresponds to the interior of the vehicle, appropriate textures, however the exterior drops in quality completely.
That called texture, UV map, is a coordinate you use to project texture into a face (triangle).
Are you using a procedural texture? If so, then you need to configure Bake to give islands with text more area to cover.
I don’t know what you mean, but the UvMap imported into ROBLOX was made from blender, designed and then imported into ROBLOX Studio, resulting in a blurry and poor quality design.
This is most likely caused by your texture size in blender exceeding Roblox’s limit of 1024x1024. This has nothing to do with UV’s, more so just being handicapped with Roblox texture quality limit as of right now, however they do plan on increasing it up to 4k by the end of this month.
you have texture size limits. I was dealing with a similar issue recently, except I slapped a grid over the face the texture is on, brought the grid and a picture of the model with the grid overlayed over it into photoshop and placed the higher felidility texture where I wanted it remove the background, save, import and slapped the decal on the model. That how you could fix your issue,
