[V1.1] Introducing my first plugin: QuickDist⚡

About the Plugin:

While working on a game, I searched the Plugin Toolbox for a tool to get the distance between 2 parts, but couldn’t find one, so I decided to make my own!

How to Use:

  1. Click one part.

  2. Ctrl + Click another part.

  3. See the distance from the middle of one part to the middle of the other.

Ruler Tool:

  1. Click Ruler Tool button to activate it.

  2. Click anywhere to place the first attachment.

  3. Click a second point to place another attachment.

  4. Get the distance between the two attachement.

New update:

  1. Fix some ui bugs
  2. New Ruler Tool

The plugin is still under construction :building_construction:. I appreciate any reviews, feedback, or advice!

Thanks so much for this, I no longer have to do manual calculations in the command bar when I’m building

What would be cool is if this used attachments so you arent restricted to parts and you could anchor/reset the attachment points, so it works more like a ruler

Then you could maybe take it further and make it an actual ruler to make your builds have a consistent geometry, i’d honestly love to use that

I’ll try, just got some problem making the “brush” thing and get the user click.

tip: remove the emoji in the name of the plugin (not in the post, the plugin) it makes you look install-hungry. no offense
