Vectary to Studio

Hey everyone!

I have been using a website called vectary.com recently, and was wondering how to export a model from there.

I first tried to download it as an obj. file, however I wasn’t able to put it into studio.

I also tried to download it as an rbxm. file, but there is not an option to download it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would download it as an obj file and then import it to Blender. Then you can further transport it from Blender to studio.

At the moment, I do not have Blender.

What shall I do?

Download Blender, that seems to be the only way.

I haven’t used Blender before, so apologies in advance for the dumb question.

Can I export a model in Blender as an .rbxm file?

Yes, you can then export the .obj as a .fbx and import it in studio using a mesh.

Well, like I said, it’s not possible. You can only export it as a .fbx and import it using a mesh part.

Alright. Time for another dumb question. (I’m new to modeling so don’t get mad)

What do you mean by mesh part?

In Roblox studio there is a type of part called a mesh part. With a mesh part selected, in the properties tab you can press the file button beside MeshId, and select the fbx file.

Would it be possible for you to share an example?

You will get a zip file where you will need to export the obj to your prefered location like the desktop. The file looks like this for me

Then you go in to studio and press the plus by workspace

Look up meshpart and click it

once you have the meshpart select it and find Meshid in properties

And find your mesh that you exported

Holy crap, thank you so much. It worked!

Also big thank you to @Thalryxen and @NikRedN!
