Vertex density limit makes it impossible to upload jewelry

The vertex density limit makes it extremely hard or near impossible to upload detailed jewelry/watches/etc under the Jacket category. I’m getting this error trying to upload 2 items, a watch and a bracelet. The topology is completely fine but since the items are small, Roblox keeps saying the vertexs are too close together when they are not. If I space out the vertexs, the item will lose all it’s detail

Expected behavior

Smaller items should be able to pass verification without running into vertex density limit issue.

Hi, can you share the error message you get and the RBXM file for you model?

Hi, I think the real issue here is that the bracelet you are creating is way too small compared with regular layered clothing or rigid accessories. Plus there are way too many vertices clustered within a small space (< 1.0 stud), which is something we are trying to avoid because it may cause in-game performance issue on certain devices.

Normally tiny accessories may cause a lot of issues. I also noticed that the bracelet you are creating is a piece of layered clothing (since it comes with the cages). The relative ratio between the bracelet mesh and modified cage is also very small given the tiny size of the mesh itself (see the image below). It may cause issue when some avatar wears it because it may be deformed weirdly.

So we highly recommend you to consider increasing the size of the mesh.

Hello!

Given NoLegDay4Ever’s feedback, we’re closing this as Won’t Fix. An increase in vertex density support is a Feature Request that we don’t intend to support at this time.

Best,
