Viewmodel ADS System

  1. What do you want to achieve? I want to use ADS system on animated view model

  2. What is the issue? I do it the way it is in the dev forum, it will move differently than expected due to the animation of the view model.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? I can’t find it no matter where I look

local AimCF = script.IsAiming.Value and AimPoint.CFrame:ToObjectSpace(CamPart.CFrame) or CFrame.new()

This is how I’m doing it, with the AimPoint part in front of the scope mesh. However, the scope mesh and the other gun meshes are in different positions due to idle animation. This causes the view model to move back and forth when aiming.

local diffCFrame = Grip.CFrame:Inverse() * viewmodel.GripAimPointt.CFrame
local AimCF = script.IsAiming.Value and AimPoint.CFrame:ToObjectSpace(CamPart.CFrame) * diffCFrame:Inverse() or CFrame.new()

I tried this code but it didn’t seem to have any effect.

I hope there are no stupid AI-like answers like “remove the view model’s animation”

does it get the offset once or does it recalculate every frame?

Please use the constant CFrame.identity for empty CFrame, thanks.

No damn idea what this has to mean, but it’s best for you to make your own system if you don’t know what you are doing in the first place.

Aiming Down Sights

It is applied every frame because of the view model’s animation (like the reload animation).
