Visual Bugs in Posted Avatars on Roblox Website

There are several visual and UI-related bugs present in the Posted Avatars system under the Shared Avatars feature on the Roblox website. These include alignment issues, UI spacing inconsistencies, and improper layering behavior. These problems collectively make the feature feel unfinished and inconsistent with the rest of the Roblox platform.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open the Roblox desktop application and log into your account.
  2. Click the Avatar tab (3rd option from the top-left sidebar).
  3. Click “Customize” to open the avatar customization screen.
  4. Press the “+” icon at the top center to begin posting a new avatar.
  5. Give the avatar a name and description, then proceed with the preview.
  6. Click “Share” to publish the avatar.
  7. Once posted, a popup will appear allowing you to copy the link to the posted avatar.
  8. Paste the copied link into any web browser to view the avatar on the Roblox website.
  9. Observe the issues described below on the posted avatar’s web page.

Alternatively, you can directly observe the issues using the following posted avatars as examples:

Issues Observed:

1. Avatar Preview Shifts Left When Too Many Items Are Included

  • If the posted avatar includes many items (such as layered clothing and accessories), the preview model on the website shifts noticeably to the left side.
  • Avatars with few or no items stay properly centered in the frame.
I posted the same avatar twice for comparison — one with lots of accessories, and the other with none.

2. Verified Badge Too Close to Username

  • On the posted avatar page, the verified badge next to the creator’s username appears too close to the text.
  • This differs from how the badge is displayed on other parts of the platform (such as the catalog or user profiles), where more padding is applied.

On the catalog:

When viewing posted avatars on the website:

3. Report Button Layout Feels Broken

  • When clicking the three dots (⋯) and selecting “Report,” a button labeled “Report” appears.
  • Although the text is correctly left-aligned, the right side of the label is empty, as if it was designed for more content.
  • This results in an unbalanced, placeholder-like appearance.

4. Checkmark for Included Items in Posted Avatar Overlaps Shopping Cart UI

  • When clicking the shopping cart icon above the three-dot menu, the item purchase UI opens.
  • If one of the Included Items in the posted avatar is already owned and is positioned right under the cart UI panel, the checkmark icon indicating ownership appears on top of the shopping cart interface.
  • Users can click this checkmark to remove items from their selection before purchase, but the layering issue remains.
  • This indicates an incorrect layering order for UI elements.

Expected Behavior

  • Avatar preview should remain centered regardless of item count.
  • Verified badge should have standardized spacing from the username, consistent with the rest of the site.
  • Report button should have appropriate padding and layout, or the label should resize to fit its content.
  • UI elements like the shopping cart interface should be layered above the checkmarks indicating included items in the posted avatar.

Actual Behavior

  • Avatar preview shifts to the left with many items.
  • Verified badge appears too close to the username.
  • Report button has an unbalanced layout.
  • Checkmarks for included items in the posted avatar overlap and appear on top of the shopping cart interface.
