VoiceChat maximum limit claims to be 50 but voice chat is disabled when Maximum Visitor Count is 50

From the VoiceChat documentation

When my place was set to 50 players, voice chat was disabled.

When the maximum visitor count is less than 50, voice chat works again.

Expected behavior

I would expect VoiceChat to be enabled at 50 maximum visitor count.

Hello! Can you add a few more details here?

  • I’m wondering which experience this is?
  • Did voice not work for all users or just the 50th?
  • When testing did this occur 100% of the time or only sometimes?
  • Are you suggesting that this is related to the server player limit mentioned on the experience’s description page, or due to the player count inside a game?

Thanks!

This happens in every experience from what I can tell. Enable voice chat and set the server player limit to 50, and the voice chat is disabled. From another re-attempt at replicating this, i’ve found the player limit count actually has to be lower than 49 rather than 50 and it works. So 48 Player limit = Voice chat working, above this Voice chat is being disabled.

Voice chat was completely disabled when “Maximum visitor count” is set at 49 or above. (Server player limit) even if there is just one player in the game.

It’s not possible to test. It had to be tested in a live Roblox server, at which point it didn’t work. The servers were reset back to lower than 50 in order to enable voice chat again.

Yes, due to the maximum visitor count allowed for a server.

Marking this as fixed since a private message reports issue went away. Will re-open the topic if it comes up again.

The private message indicates that the voice chat is working as expected at 50 players in a new experience, however I also attached the experience in which this breaks when we set the player count to 50.
