I don’t know wat Roblox’s been up to lately, but they constantly changed the UI, wether it was the app icon, the constant changes to a soulless “modern” UI and now… the fact that to even shift lock you have to make the menu disappear ? It’s not even possible to use shortcuts to reset or leave anymore…
Seriously, why is this even a thing ? Nobody’s ever asked for something like that, so why just change it ? Does Roblox realize that a ton of games are based on the old menu system ? Why change it while everyone was happy about it ?
The topbar cannot be used at the same time as shift lock: who asked for this ? Isn’t it simpler to be able to at least click on what we want without having to constantly press esc for the most basic task ? Also, do we realize that it’s like harder for nothing to just open the menu ? Having to click on the Roblox icon button instead of being able to press Esc to open the menu is just pointless…
Overall, I don’t like at all how the Roblox UI is changing. Please listen a bit more to the community.
I’m not yet familiar with the updated menu thingy however maybe they will finally allow us to use the ESC button to close UI’s like any other games instead of forcingly opening the menu.
Yeah, except that buttons like E or any other button on our keyboard can already do that. And Esc literally still toggles the menu, but it just has more useless steps to it now.
All I can say is that it’s pointless and they didn’t even think of the amount of games who use the old topbar.
And you know what’s not smooth ? Clicking a thousand buttons with my mouse just to reset.
I agree it feels like Roblox keeps pushing updates nobody really asked for. In my opinion, this one’s a downgrade. It adds an unnecessary extra step and ends up complicating things, especially in games where quick access to the menu is important. Having to click on it every time just gets in the way.
YES , I remember being able to reset within a second with the shortcuts because I was so used to it, and now it’s just click a button click a button, there’s no point in updating that, they’re being really annoying with all this UI stuff
Has to be one of the dumbest, useless features, nobody asked for. RIP the muscle memory doing Esc + L/R + Enter… This is so annoying. I hope to god Roblox rolls back this feature. Like what was even the point in doing this?
