It looks really solid and cool, I like it, but one thing i don’t is, the shooting animation… it’s a little too “intense” and overexaggerated, I don’t think the recoil of a 1911 is that much
its for the effect of a gun, if i made it low recoil it would seem like almost with NO animation for some reason.
I feel like the animations seem a bit slow and they also don’t sync with the animations (like the running animation does not sync with the sound) but the reload is fine. It’s really smooth though, which is very nice.
Overall, it’s pretty good. It just needs some polishing and minor details. Players always like the minor details.
This gun system looks VERY GOOD AND REALISTIC! Great job on it! I’d say you should make the shaking a lot less crazy. How long did it take to make this? I rate it 10/10! What game is it for, and when will it be released?
The shake is for the crazy simulation of a gun, since most players will use some third party crosshairs for aim i made it shake so they wont be better that much. It took like a week and this game its just some post apocalyplse wasteland survival, explore buildings gather things buy stuff and repeat. Not much gameplay right now though.
I think for the community you should put a side by side between what it would look like with low recoil compared to the way it looks now and then you as the developer can decide which you prefer. It’s a win win. We get to see both. You get to decide. I don’t think anyone here is outright demanding low recoil but we do just want to see what it would look like
In my opinion the amount of recoil really makes it feel alive and unique. I think that the shooting animation just feels… delayed or something. maybe it’s not fast enough.
Wow perfect that makes so much sense now why you would go with more recoil. The less recoil just doesn’t look right and feels off. Thank you for sharing ![]()
Focus more on vertical recoil, Y-axis movement should be the primary direction since it’s what players naturally counter. Try reducing the horizontal (X-axis) recoil and increasing the vertical to make the gun feel more skill-based and responsive.
Yeah that would be better, also thought about moving the camera more to the side. so you can see the weapon and have bigger sight of your surroundings.
