Way to get character's distance from a BillBoardGui?

I’ve noticed that the GUI’s property is in relation to the player’s camera, not their actual character. I’m planning to have a lot of objects that have this feature of the billboardgui appearing, so I feel like a lot of while loops running magnitude or region3 functions would cause a lot of lag. Is there any way to make the MaxDistance be in relation to the character instead?
