"We could not join the team create session for place ___. Lost connection to the game server please reconnect"

That message is normal when you join a channel, I removed you from the channel and you might see that message 1 more time as your client updates back to the prod channel.

Based on the debugging, it seems that your place reached the memory limits of our servers. The place file has a 100mb limit. Could you try reducing the size by (1) reverting to a previous version on creator hub, or (2) opening up the place locally without using “Team Test”, and reducing its size?

I’ll link a guide to reducing the place file size: https://create.roblox.com/docs/projects/place-files

I tried everything and nothing works im so sad i really need to go in this specific place and nothing works. please help!

To figure out what we should try next, when you export your place to .rbxl through Save to File or Download a Copy, what is the size of the .rbxl file?

it says its 208,526 KB ‘’‘’‘’’

208,526 KB is 208.5 MB, which is over double the size our servers can reliably support. Even if it was working before or copies work, when a place is over 100 MB we can’t guarantee that our servers can support it every time without running out of memory.

Please try reducing the size of the place to under 100 MB by either reverting to a previous version. following the strategies in the guide, or removing assets, and then see if you’re able to connect.

how can i reduce anything if i cant enter the game on studio? also will roblox upgrade the 100mb anytime soon?

You should be able to open the place without using “TeamCreate” or “Team Test”. As for the 100mb, very few places, even the largest and most complex ones, reach the limit. Usually it is due to inefficiencies in the place.

how do i open it without using team create?

Can you attach a video of how you’re opening it?

i just click on the place. ////////////

If you can’t open your place, you can make sure you have a backup .rbxl file of it, then revert to an earlier, smaller version through Creations > “universe name” > Places > “place name” > Version History. There should be a version that you’re able to open. Then you can turn off TeamCreate by following the steps here: https://create.roblox.com/docs/projects/collaboration#disable-collaboration

You can copy over things from your backup to your place, but please keep in mind to not exceed 100 MB.

i basically just opened a local copy and just overwrite it. just thought smarter and it worked!
