:open_book: Overview

WealthMetrics+ helps you track and display top players based on their in-game wealth. It works great for simulators, tycoons, farming games, or any experience with an economy!

Instead of focusing on standard metrics like survival time or play duration, this system highlights overall player success by tracking total cash, money, or currency accumulated throughout their playtime.

It is designed to integrate smoothly into a wide variety of game types, including tycoons, simulators, farming games, roleplay experiences, and incremental progression games.

By giving players a clear and stylish view of where they rank among top earners, WealthMetrics+ adds a fun, competitive element to your game that encourages continuous play, trading, and long-term goal-setting.

It serves as a simple solution for developers who want a clean, modern, and trustworthy way to display player wealth across all active servers in real time.

:herb: Inspiration

WealthMetrics+ was inspired by Time Played Leaderboard With Player Thumbnails by @RenanMSV.

While the original system focused on tracking total time spent in-game, WealthMetrics+ builds upon that concept by adapting the core logic to track in-game cash and player wealth instead.

Huge thanks to @RenanMSV for sharing his work with the Roblox developer community and providing the inspiration for this upgraded version!

You didnt have to waste the tokens for this post. It could have been way smaller.

This would be impressively convoluted if you hadn’t used AI to get it to that point

a leaderboard system CANNOT be this deep brotosynthesis

You haven’t even seen the full system yet :skull:

from what i read, it’s literally just like any other leaderboard. it sorts you based on your cash and shows you other servers’ stats

i would be fine with something like this being in Community Resources if your post wasn’t half a mile long and 99.9 percent chatgpt-made when you could have made it yourself with three sentences and an image

Fair enough :joy: The post is definitely detailed, but the system itself has more going on than just sorting cash and showing server stats. You’re welcome to judge it once you’ve actually tried the full system.

i would, but your link to the Playground place is locked

Ah, I see! Thanks for letting me know. The Playground is still a work in progress and isn’t fully complete yet, so some access/settings may not be working properly at the moment. I’ll check the experience’s access settings and make sure it’s available for testing once everything is ready.

Sorry for the inconvenience. :folded_hands:

Ahh, found the problem! I had accidentally set the game to Friends Only, but I’ve now made it public.

Please note: You still need to be 16+ to play, as the experience currently has an age requirement enabled.

Thanks for pointing this out! :slightly_smiling_face:

How many tokens did you waste on that?
Every single file has a clear indication of AI usage.

This is actually really cool. I really appreciate you giving proper credit too. Nice work man, keep it up!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! :raising_hands:

Glad you liked it, and thanks again for the inspiration.

Then why are you specifying file names as if an AI guided you to paste into studio? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I just wanted to specify the file names so beginners know what each thing is and where it goes. After all, WealthMetrics+ is meant to be beginner-friendly, so I figured a little extra guidance would help! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Uhuh…
Why are you naming the files .lua when not only does Roblox use Luau, but that’s EXACTLY a thing an AI would do when creating code?

“.lua” is literally the standard file extension for Lua scripts :sob: Roblox uses Luau, which is based on Lua. Plenty of other developers use “.lua” for their Roblox scripts too. It doesn’t prove AI was used!
