Weekly Recap: April 20 - 24, 2026

Betas and Tests

[Studio Beta] Introducing Procedural Models: Build Parametrized 3D Models with Code or AI

  • Procedural Models let you build parametric 3D objects using code or AI, automating repetitive building tasks and enabling instant, non-destructive resizing.
  • Available today to all creators in Roblox Studio under the “Edit-Time Procedural Models” Studio beta.

[UPDATE] [Beta] Introducing Automated RTBF Processing for Data Stores

  • UI support for Automated RTBF Processing is now live, so creators can manage RTBF templates directly in the Creator Hub via Data Stores Manager > RTBF Deletion instead of manually interfacing with the DataStoresConfig repository via API.
  • The onboarding guide has been updated with the new UI workflow.

Updates and Announcements

Assistant Updates: The Data Model Search Subagent and Quick Connect for MCP Clients

  • The Data Model Search subagent lets agents investigate large workspaces in parallel without cluttering the main conversation.
  • Quick Connect lets you connect external AI clients (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and others) to Studio with a single toggle instead of editing config files manually.

Upcoming Updates to Private Servers: New Tools and New Earning Opportunities

  • Starting April 30, creators can update prices every 60 days without canceling subscriptions, group revenue splits apply immediately to all future payments, and regional pricing is enabled automatically.
  • Roblox Plus subscribers can access paid private servers at no cost and creators earn up to 100 Robux per subscriber per server, with the ability to sell private servers directly within games coming later.

Introducing Enhanced Protection: Professional-Grade Security for Creators

  • Enhanced Protection is now available, adding mandatory phishing-resistant 2FA (like passkeys and hardware keys) to secure assets and group payouts.
  • Enable it through the Security tab in Account Settings.

[UPDATE] Level Up Your Community: Assign Multiple Roles per Member

  • Dual role auto-assignment on community join has changed: if you delete the lowest-ranked role in a community created before March 16, the system will no longer replace it with the next lowest one.
  • The change was applied retroactively to communities where creators had already deleted roles after launch.

I hope after UIShadows we get more native ui customisation

I heard some UI bugs are finally going to be fixed so I hope this includes several patches when it’s live

It’s been in the making since last month! It’s been listed in the previous patch notes, I believe it’s very close to completion now..

It’s been in the patch notes for ages. If you actually read them, you wouldn’t be surprised.

7/10 week, nothing really happened besides the new announcement of playing roblox on ur TV with a remote.

Version 711 was shown in March, which revealed UIShadow. It is now April, my previous statement still stands true?

The timeline doesn’t change the fact that it was already documented. You’re just pointing out something that was already public knowledge.

You replied to me rudely stating my time was wrong?

Annnd the guy I was talking to didn’t know of it? I guess god forbid I inform them?
What are you even trying to argue here? I can’t tell someone that?

Procedural Models would definitely increase the building efficiency

It is not an argument, it is just a fact. The timing of the announcement does not change what was already in the notes.
