- This descriptor goes live on August 11. Please fill out or update by September 29, 2025.
- If your experience receives a sensitive issues descriptor and you would like to appeal, you can follow these instructions here.
Top Songs Available On Your Experience Detail Page
- Music Top 100 Charts has been fully launched and a “Top Songs” section on your Experience Detail Page will be rolling out in the next few weeks.
Introducing Improvements to Directional UI Selection on Gamepad
- Thumbstick navigation is now truly analog, allowing for precise, fluid selection that no longer locks to cardinal directions.
- We’ve also added smarter UI grouping, preventing selection of covered elements, and a more logical default selection entry point.
Introducing Verification Level for Communities
- Community owners can choose from one of four options for Verification Level that serve as a prerequisite to joining the community: None, Low, Medium, High.
- All existing Communities will automatically be set to None, but you can easily adjust this at any time to best fit your community’s needs.
Introducing Custom Start Places for Events
- You can now set custom start places for Experience Events. If users join via the “Join Event” button or RSVP, they will enter your experience at a specified location.
Avatar Creators Can Publish and Sell Emotes on Marketplace
- You can publish and sell custom emotes on Marketplace and inside experiences.
- In the future, we will also allow you to publish locomotion bundles, giving avatars a distinct way of moving - whether it be walking, swimming, jumping, or dancing - through the world.
Updates
Ads Manager Updates: Acquire New Users, Continuous Campaigns and More
- We’ve upgraded Ads Manager with the Acquire New Users objective to help you attract players who haven ‘t visited your experience before.
- You can also now set campaigns to run without an end date.
An Update on Using Third-Party Emulators
- We are restricting general player access from emulators to better protect the user experience.
- We know that many of you use emulators to test your experiences across different devices. To ensure you can continue this, you will be able to join and test experiences where you have “edit” permissions while using an emulator.
[Pilot] Apply for the Video Discovery Pilot!
- Thank you again for your video submissions. We’re excited to share that we’ve started an experiment that displays your videos on your experience details page.
- We will share results and next month and also expand self service access to all creators soon after.

Input Action System (IAS) and Input Type Detection
- The cross-platform Input Action System lets you connect actions and arrange bindings across various hardware inputs at edit time, and a new input type detection API helps you determine the primary input type a player is using.
- Both of these help you support an expanding suite of platforms that seamlessly adapt to touch, gamepad, mouse/keyboard inputs.
