Important Updates: Unrated Experiences and Changes to Experience Pages

  • Reminder: We are asking Creators with unrated experiences to complete the Maturity & Compliance questionnaire by September 30, 2025 to ensure their experiences remain playable.

    • Added support to enable players to save their generated avatar to their inventory.

Text Generation API Beta: Expanding Access

  • Expanding the Text Generation API Beta so that creators can integrate it in all experiences and with additional improvements. Previously, the API was only available to experiences with a content maturity rating of moderate or restricted.

  • We’re doubling the range limit for all local lights from 60 to 120.
  • This change makes it easier for you to light larger spaces with fewer lights, which can streamline your workflow and improve performance.

Animation Clip Editor Update: Better Authoring & Playback!

  • We’re excited to announce an update to the Animation Clip Editor (ACE) that directly addresses a long-standing issue: the discrepancy between how animations appear in Studio and how they play in-game.

Yes but I don’t think this has actually been enforced

A really good week for Roblox, so many cool betas came out and lots to look forward to!

——

:sparkles: My rating: 50/50

My favorite update this week was “Extended Light Ranges” but the other announcements were fantastic too. “The MicroProfiler can now be easily closed!” was a funny but good update!

——

Topics I feel should be mentioned:

  1. Add more badge info
  2. Add moon ray lighting effect
  3. Add resamplemode for textures and materials
  4. Make clip descendants work on rotated elements

——

See you next week, Robloxians!

I Sure hope PBR Decals & Repeating Textures get implemented soon! And maybe letting decals be offset in some way too. With options to wrap on the model based on Mesh UV or legacy Front, Back, Left, Right, Ect.

Please for the love of God give us an option to update to a new UI, throwing off my entire work environment

Go into beta features and look for Next Gen Studio Preview, then disable it and save.
I haven’t heard if anybody does not have this option in beta features, but I’m pretty sure that it’s still optional for everybody.
