Weird blue shading when i zoom out

It has been a little while since I last opened my game, however when I did open it, I was far up above my map in studio, and I saw this weird blue-white tint from objects farther away and the baseplate texture was faded

What is happening and how do I prevent this? Thank you! (im not much a builder sorry if anything repulses you )

Hey @DevYeetaludedus! No worries, that’s an easy fix.

Your parts are reflective—your Reflectance is turned up, so they’re basically reflecting the skybox (the sky), which is why you see that blue-and-white effect. Just select your parts and set Reflectance to 0 in the Properties panel, and you’re good.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the answer. I selected every part in that build and every part had a reflectance of 0.

environmental diffusion or environmental specularitarilation settings in game.lighting perhaps? they can cause the colors of the skybox to be applied onto parts

I tried messing with those 2 properties and decreasing it just makes my map look really really dark

My assumption would be that it has to be the lighting, would you mind sharing your lighting contents?
As for these could be causing the effect aswell

This is a bug that happens to me sometimes, just restart studio and it should hopefully fix it

@DevYeetaludedus I had a very similar problem (at least I think) just yesterday. I opened my game and I was having whatever this was:

This strange black blanketing was only affecting one game, so I reopened it and all was well. Anyway in my case I assume it was a studio bug.

Hey! Thank you and everyone else for the help. For some reason, I restarted studio before and it did not work, but restarting now has fixed the issue. Thank you all!

Have you checked if your Graphics Mode is set to OpenGL? Last time I tried to use it, I had very similar results, if it IS set to OpenGL try changing it to Automatic and see if it works.
