Weird tag behaviour

Recently just scrolling through posts and I clicked on someone tagging themselves and realised some weird capitalisation involved.

The user in question’s username is ‘ZeZelDev’ However the tag shows up as ‘zezeldev’ and upon clicking on it to bring up profile information, the information page also was lowercase, inaccurately reflecting the users username.

While I know usernames are unique and do not allow you to recreate usernames with different capitalisation I found this behaviour rather weird.

I mean, you get linked to the same person, so it really makes no difference in my opinion.

Ye, I know.

I just thought it was a weird visual occurrence which slightly amused me and which is also presumably unexpected behaviour.

Yeah, you point does make sense, when @ing someone, the tag should have the same capitalization as the actual name!
