What’s the best way to advertise and gain players?

Hey everyone, I’m recently coming up with a game and decided that eventually in order to garner attention, we’d advertise our game and get our player base to go up.

However, I’m quite cautious on what exactly to do in this situation, we have a high budget but are undecided on whether we sponsor or advertise and how much a day is spent and on what platform.

Any advise and ideas would be appreciated, thank you.

If the games not out already, I’d recommend really focusing down on the gameplay/feeling for the game first, then when you feel mostly comfortable with it, try starting out with basic advertisements, if you can try to reach youtubers to review/show off your game, but you should really make sure your game is ready for a larger audience as well, that way any of your advertising methods that you do will work the best you can get it.

You can always advertise & sponsor at the same time. I always recommend to start small and see what advertisements work best, and what devices people are most interested in playing your game on. Use statistics to get average play time and use that to your advantage. Target the players who you believe would be most interested in your game and then you can slowly ramp up how much you spend on ads when you know what works well.

A lot of people pay youtubers to play their game, and that may be a better option than advertising/sponsoring

how much money do they pay, do they pay in robux or in money.

Both are best ways to work with your game. If your game has a theme that everyone likes, sponsoring is a great move because they will click the game by interest and play it. Advertisements work as well but I’m not very experienced with them. From my experience sponsor works very good with a small amount of robux (1k). If you want a good amount of players from other platforms and how much, PC is the most used (as known). Then tablet and mobile players are the next ones and last come the Xbox players. So bid robux regarding the popularity and compatibility on the platforms.

You just email them and they will tell you an amount; pretty sure they only take usd though.

Youtube is a golden tool, use it, if you dont own an account find someone who does. You dont need to have money either.

If your game is fun and unique, your very pleasant to them and offer them some sort of exclusive code or content they can use, then your average (nice) youtube is going to agree!

On average, what was your CTR in sponsors? Nothing specific at all, just a broad or close estimate.

Not sure, was developer for a game a friend produced. He runned 1,000 robux at the start and gained over 100 players. I varies the game and theme.

Even though the first reply was the solution, let me add.

Here’s my suggesting to good advertising:

The day should be weekends/holidays since players are not at school.

You should make an exciting ad with bright colours (Likely to attract players)

You should have a trending game topic.

Another good way is asking a YouTuber to record and put the game link (Not 100% chance your game will go massive in players for a few hours unless the YouTuber is big)

Also, make sure not to copy other games (Try copying front page games and you probably won’t even kill 1% of their player count)

Make the game look good, don’t use free models aswell as that could trigger in-game viruses and break the game.

Don’t trust any of the player-made in-game anti-viruses, they aren’t made by ‘‘professionals’’. Roblox probably has a built-in anti-virus, and you could break your game and anger players.

Make sure to advertise every few weeks to make sure your game isn’t losing too many players.

That’s all from me currently.
