Hello, I hope this is the right category, if it isn’t please let me know and I’ll delete and post in the right category. But anyways, I mainly program, but I want to learn how to do more than just code. I thought that UI designing will be something to learn other than programming since it seems simple enough and I do like creating UI’s (though they look terrible). Does anyone have good learning resources/articles on the DevForum that can teach me how to make good or decent UI’s? Thank you
I suggest watching videos on how to create GUIs/UIs to get a better understanding. You can also look at other people’s work and copy off them, and then redesign the copied GUI using the same colors and techniques they used.
Here are some TIPS
-
Using colors that look the same will give a clean and stunning look to your GUI.
-
Don’t use multiple different colors, for example (black, green, purple, yellow, and pink). Putting these colors together won’t go well and will look unappealing to the user.
-
A crowded GUI can be hard to use. Make sure everything has enough space, is easy to read, and is accessible to the user.
-
Ask for feedback. This will be very helpful and can give you new ideas on how to make your GUI better.
You can also head over to Stack Overflow and view other articles there.
Sadly I don’t have any DevForum articles that will be helpful to you.
Making a clean GUI will take time and practice, like always.
Okay thank you so much
