What are the key factors that make up an rpg/adventure game?

I have a good idea of what we plan to add, but I want to make sure that I have the core details to be released for our game in July. I intented to have weapons, armour, quests, enemies and bosses, places to rest/eat/chill, and to explore the map. Is there anything else that I might have missed that goes in this genre?


Adventure games usually have very encapsulating stories and a game atmosphere that fits. In gameplay, adventure type games sometimes have player stats such as defense and attack. Stories are definitely getting more appreciation in Roblox now. Good luck with your game!

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that we are probably adding some type of story. Thanks for mentioning the stats too!.

Add materials and a crafting system, that is one of the best ways for a player to get better gear in my experience.

Yea, I plan to add that as well, not sure if it will be out by July, but I’ll see.
