This seems like a really roundabout way of achieving something already possible using server scripts in ServerScriptService? Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is all doable without an external HTTP server?
We do a lot of extra security stuff behind the scenes (that I can’t go into much detail) which makes it a lot more than just using “an external HTTP server”. This isn’t the main use for the Marketplace, either. It is meant for services, I was just giving an example that more people here could relate to. You can read more about it here.
Hey @Elttob That game you are making seems to have caught my attention. Any news on when it might release for mobile since im not on a PC to test it out ?
Yes! Ever since I first released the game in early access, I’ve been working towards getting the game to work with touch input, so I can get it running on tablets. Whether it comes to phones will depend on how the game performs on them - but I fully intend to at least support tablets
Sounds great, wishing the best of luck.
Suit commission finished for a friend. Man, suits are fun to make.
I wish I could have more than one title active, me posting art kinda contradicts my “programmer” title.
Please let us relive this, it’s all I ask.
After not making my dream game for 7 years, it’s time to get started.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the olden-days Roblox aesthetic, and considering the train assets are from 2012, it seems like a no-brainer to continue it. Although I will be creating GUIs to mimic those of the era, I will be incorporating new features as necessary, such as Collision Groups.
Train making has evolved considerably in 7 years, so all the rolling stock will be updated to use the best practices, and more will be made in the same style to enhance the selection.
Inspired by the original Roblox Train Tycoon, this one will not feature any droppers or similar. Players earn money by delivering loads, and the amount earned depends on the quantity, distance traveled, and timeliness of the delivery. Players upgrade buildings to increase the quantity of rolling stock they can own and spawn and to unlock newer, better rolling stock.
I absolutely love this simplistic and low-poly approach. Very appealing! Is this a wider scale tycoon (managing huge areas with these trains, or focusing more specifically on interacting directly with every part of one or a couple of trains). I could very much see this as a transportation-type of city skylines . ALSO DO I SPOT THOMAS
Love it! is it built in studio completely? It looks amazing for Roblox.
Tryna get that feely feel.
all parts and a couple of unions
Hey ScriptOn, what game is that, it seems interesting.
I keep forgetting to post things in this topic…
Well prepare for most of the things I’ve forgotten to post:

(note the video’s aren’t of the whole screen so it might look weird)
If anyone’s wondering then here’s the game these assets and stuff are made for
Didn’t include everything- don’t want to spam down the entire thread…
Went a bit out of my comfort zone and made the UI as well as scripted it. I don’t usually design the UI myself. Went for a minimalistic and flat look here.
That looks really good for a simplistic first approach at it. My only suggestion would be on the gameplay settings page to make the background of the box darker so it stands out a little more(the buttons on the main settings page look great) and to add some sort of backdrop to the headers because if the background is light they’re going to be very difficult to read. I would suggest you have a bar gradiant behind them. Just something simple like what is in the image below, just to make it stand out a bit but not be too distracting.
If I could make a movement system efficient enough to run multiple trains, I would absolutely create a railroad tycoon-like game where you lay your own tracks and manage multiple trains. For now my plan is a set layout with set industries and you drive a single train between them.
Looks really good until I see that scrollingframe. Looks painful to be honest. You should add smooth scrolling to it.
