Howdy DevForum! I am currently making a game that has a round system. And the rounds are about 2 minutes and 30 seconds long! And there is not much players can do in the lobby. There is a shop, leaderboard, and that is about it!. What should I add so players can have more fun while waiting?! (Please let me know if this is under the wrong topic.)
A spectating system, a small obby (possibly with a reward at the end), maybe you can make a small fighting zone like in Doomspire Brickbattle.
Why is there an exclamation mark in the title? It’s like you’re screaming for answers lol.
There is going to be a spectating system, but I am not sure about a small obby since the game is not really about obbies.
Looks great! I think minigames or interactives would be your best bet here. I have always thought that the developers of Deathrun did a fantastic job of this. Many small ways to keep a player entertained between what could potentially be a long waiting period. Example being a player joins when a round started two seconds ago.
Food for thought. Keep up the great work!
Maybe add some form of transport between the islands other than the chains, such as cannons.
Maybe you could add an obby? I’ve seen some games that use that.
I think a restroom fill with a cat pictures, like in JToH!
Parkour, just like in minecraft lobbies.
